Pre-requisites before installing:
-
The installer requires administrator privileges, make sure you have the necessary password if you're not running as an admin user.
-
Although the installer name says "win32" and the default installation path is "Program Files (x86)", RTI Enterprise automatically handles 64-bit Java applications.
-
Completing the installation requires Java (just a JRE, not a JDK). If for some reason the installer can't find the one you have, contact RTI Support at
<rti_support@ocsystems.com>. -
The installer asks if you want to install an "rshd" service in order to remotely connect from another console. If you're not sure, select No. This is provided primarily for using RTI in conjunction with LoadRunner load generators. RSHD support is not needed when installing RTI to monitor applications on your localhost, or when integrating RTI with JBoss Operations Network.
The installation is simple:
-
Download
rti-enterprise-3.3.3-win32.exe. Please contact us at<rti_support@ocsystems.com>if you need the download information. -
Run the installer executable and answer the basic prompts.
Congratulations, you have now installed RTI Enterprise on Windows! The
next step is to Section 1.3.3.4, “Enabling RTI Using the Console Wizard”.
