RTI is composed of two required and one optional components:
-
RTI Enterprise Performance Collector [required] - Monitors and captures application performance data. Installed on each Linux or Windows platform or server where an application will be monitored. (This component is not currently available for the Mac platform.)
-
RTI Console [required] - A Java thick-client application. RTI Console administers, gathers data from, and analyzes performance data collected by RTI Enterprise Collectors. Installed on one or more Linux, Mac or Windows desktops.
-
RTI JBoss Operations Network Plugins [optional] - Plugins used to integrate RTI into JBoss Operations Network (JBoss ON); only required when integration with RHQ or JBoss ON is planned. More detail on how RTI fits into a managed JBoss architecture is provided in Section 3.1, “How RTI Works with JBoss Operations Network” and in the JBoss ON (and RHQ) documents.
