To install the RTI cartridge you need to have an existing OpenShift application. You can create your OpenShift application using either the OpenShift management console or using the rhc tool from the command line.
To create an application using the management console:
  1. log in to your OpenShift account
  2. under the Applications tab, click the Add Application button
  3. under 'Choose a type of application', select a JBoss- or Tomcat-based application cartridge
  4. udnder 'Configure the application', set the application domain name and any other options (no scaling)
  5. click the Create Application at the bottom of the page.

To create an application using JBoss EAP 6.1 named myApp, from the command line:
$ rhc app create myApp jbosseap-6
