Create the RTI Resource Role, which will give read-write permission on the RTI resources, in a similar manner.

Note

There are two options available for this role, one that uses the Manage Inventory global permission to transfer RTI data files, and one that uses normal resource control operations to transfer RTI data files.  The Manage Inventory option permits the RTI console to use a fast transfer mechanism, but the Manage Inventory permission is global and allows the role to perform many operations on the JON resource inventory.  While the RTI Console only performs read-only operations using this role, a user with this role could log into the JON server directly and have access to operations on the entire JON inventory. The normal control operation option uses a much slower transfer mechanism, but the permissions required can be restricted to the RTI resources alone.  This is the most "secure" option.
For the faster, less-secure Manage Inventory option follow these steps:
  1. Add the Manage Inventory global permissions,
  2. Add the RTI Resources Group in the Resource Groups tab,
  3. Click Save.
For the slower, more-secure normal operation option follow these steps:
  1. Add the resource Control write permission,
  2. Add the RTI Resources Group in the Resource Groups tab,
  3. Click Save.
